Open top bus tours
Hop on and off a variety of tours running in the city all day every day at regular intervals. Most tours leave from Orange Grove or Terrace Walk, but you can usually join them at the major attractions such as the Assembly Rooms.
Walking tours
Bath can be enjoyed in a variety of ways. You could join the Mayor of Bath's Honorary Civic Walking Tours outside the Pump Room for a free walking tour led by some very knowledgeable people, or perhaps a more personalised tour with one of the guides supplied by Sulis Guides. There's a city trail developed by the City Centre Manager's Office - the booklet can be purchased through the Tourist Information Centre, along with other walking tour leaflets.
Comedy and Ghost tours also run in the evening during the summer months, and will give you a completely different view of Bath's history.
Minibus Tours
Some guiding companies have minibuses available for groups while coach and chauffeur companies between them can also provide transport for groups of any size. Look out for specialist tours to The Cotswolds, Stonehenge, Avebury and other local attractions.
Bus and Boat Tours
Regular guided tours of both Bath city and Bath's skyline (some offering multi-lingual commentaries) operate every day of the year except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
Enjoy a cruise down the River Avon and and take in the historic sights of Bath upon your return in to the city centre experience the thrill of sailing directly in to the 'V' of the famous Pulteney Weir. Or travel up the River Avon through the countryside of the Avon Valley to Bathampton where you can see the old toll bridge with Bathampton weir.
