Canterbury has two excellent theatres, The Marlowe and The Gulbenkian both offering a wide range of events, including dance, drama, music, one-nighters, opera, West End productions, comedy and music.

The Gulbenkian also has Cinema 3, Canterbury's independent film theatre, which shows mainstream and non-mainstream releases.

The fantastic Canterbury Festival is the largest festival of arts and culture in the region. This years festival promises to be more exciting than ever with over two hundred events in two weeks.
