If you've exhausted yourself  sightseeing and exploring, you will welcome the chance to sit down, relax and have something to eat or drink.

Among those worth a visit is the independently owned Café des Amis near the Westgate Tower, whose carefully prepared Mexican dishes have won it a firm reputation among local diners.

The recently opened ABode Hotel has two restaurants, the first is the Michael Caines fine dining restaurant, which serves modern British/European cuisine based on local and regional produce and products. The Old Brewery Tavern is the second,  which serves freshly produced traditional pub food.

The restaurant at the Farmers' Market next to Canterbury West Station offers a variety of fresh local produce chosen from the market held six days a week.

Why not take a trip to Marlowe's for a unique dining experience. The walls are lined with pictures of movie stars from the past to the present. With a wide variety to chose from the menu, loosely based around a tex/mex theme, there is something to suit most tastebuds!

Why not try a tasty cocktail in the newly opened Cuban bar, where you can mix cocktails and food with a Cuban flavour. Or visit one of the many pubs offering live music while sipping on your local Kentish beer. There are a variety of late night venues, with Alberry's Wine Bar, Ha Ha's and the Loft all situated in one street. For those wanting to dance the night away, a trip to Chicago Rock Café or Baa Bars might take your fancy.
