York's location on the rail network means that that you are within two hours, with a direct train link to London, Manchester and Edinburgh. Chester and York can be reached from the ever-increasing number of transatlantic flights to Manchester International Airport. York is also within easy travelling distance of Leeds/Bradford airport.

By Rail
From York, a direct service travels to Edinburgh. The fastest intercity railway in the United Kingdom connects Edinburgh with London King's Cross taking just over 4 hours. An overnight sleeper service also operates from London Euston.
