Situated on the grounds of the University of Kent is the Gulbenkian Theatre offering a variety of live shows ranging from dance, music, comdey, drama and family-friendly shows.

Within the Gulbenkian complex is Cinema 3, Canterbury’s independent film theatre which shows both mainstream and non-mainstream films. In the centre of Canterbury is the larger Odeon Cinema which has two screens showing the most up to date film releases.
The annual Canterbury Festival takes place this year from the 17th-31st October. It is the largest festival of arts and culture in the region and this year’s event promises to be as exciting and varied as ever.
